1 week in.

Eeepp! I walked into the kitchen, or what was left of it. The build-out has taken over, I hope this will be minimized by paint. I have decided not to paint the cabinets in the kitchen, it is not worth cost to do this properly. Now that the kitchen is so small, I feel like the existing bright color gives it some pop!

The room has been framed out, plumbing roughed-in, drywalled, and the shower pan has been placed. The shower panel is installed, and tile has began on the floor of the shower and bathroom. It is time to schedule the shower door company to come measure for the shower door. By the time they arrive, the tile will be installed; I selected a framed door because I don’t think a frameless (2x cost) is worth it for a rental property.

I brought my paint deck, and decided on this soothing grey for all the walls:

Benjamin Moore 1605 “Silvery Moon”

For light fixtures, after checking my usual online spots (Restoration Hardware, Y lighting, etc.) for budget and availability, I found a great option at Home Depot:

Home Depot Vanity Light

I have ordered a matching light for the other bathroom, to update and match the new remodel. I am leaving for my honeymoon tomorrow, so I hope that Jose has everything he needs!
